#12 Lady Petrova inspired sewing

So this saturday I am going to Geoffs Emporium in South auckland - SO CHEAP BY THE WAY!!! - to get some thorough and well mended drill/mesh type fabric like what is used here in the blue skirt by LADY PETROVA. I'm going back into my sewing mode and going to make a skirt similar to the one above. Obviously in black and longer. But I love the volume of the skirt with how many lengths and layers there are! I want to make mine long at the back just enough to NEARLY touch the ground and the front of the skirt shorter. I haven't drawn a pattern up yet though. But I'm not sure if I will need one for this. I will just sew up a a thick belt line and sew the fabric straight onto it with folds here and there.

Hopefully it won't take too long and that the finished product will be legitimate!

Here is a link to an article I wrote about Australia designer LADY PATROVA in COUP DE MAIN. She is super lovely too!
